Hello I’m Mat, a freelance artist and illustrator based in Bedfordshire, England. 

Favouring traditional mediums and working primarily in colour pencil, my visual style is centered around vibrant colour, intricate detail and solid form. I like to depict subjects in simple terms, focussing on their core qualities to create a clean and calm aesthetic, often through a graphic and slightly surreal lens. 

I've worked for a wide variety of clients worldwide within print, publishing, moving image and traditional 2d animation.
